#FMJSummit – 60 free careers sessions

Next week marks the start of an incredible line-up of 60 free online events all about working in museums – the #FMJSummit, organised by Fair Museum Jobs. Sessions range from What’s it like to be a museum curator, Doing well at interviews, Anti-racism in museum recruitment and Say yes to failure.

I’m really excited to be involved in two sessions:

·         As part of a panel on What's it like to work in museum social media, marketing and PR? Wednesday 25 November, 9-10am

·         And presenting our Museum Freelance survey findings and their implications in Freelancing in numbers – By the numbers on Sunday 29 November, 5.30-6.30pm.

Fair Museum Jobs are a BRILLIANT grassroots collective movement I admire hugely. They aim “to establish a better standard (‘The Manifesto’) for museum job recruitment that is based on the principles of fairness, transparency, equity and inclusivity. We believe recruitment based on these principles is fundamental to creating a museum sector that is resilient, relevant and representative of all society.”

The Summit is run in partnership with GEM and supported by Art Fund.

Events are all free but need to be booked in advance.
