Strategy
I create marketing strategies and audience development plans that provide a clear approach and framework with actionable recommendations.
Strategies help organisations find and connect with audiences, and support their goals such as resilience, income generation and diversifying audiences.
I delve into organisations, asking questions and undertaking research. I work in partnership with their teams to ensure their ideas and knowledge are captured, and there is internal buy-in.
The resulting strategy is insight-driven, pragmatic and tailored to your organisation to support your overall mission.
Training
I run training on a range of topics relating to marketing and audience development, for example developing strategy, engaging audiences, undertaking consultation, executing campaigns and evaluation.
My training aims to build in-house expertise and empower teams, by equipping them with knowledge, skills, confidence and inspiration.
Training sessions are interactive and can include frameworks, templates, tools, best practice examples and inspiration, and handouts.
I have achieved the Advanced Train the Trainer award from the College of Public Speaking, certified by ILM and NCFE.
I’m currently delivering training online through clients’ choice of video software such as Zoom.
Facilitation
I facilitate engaging workshops that enable every voice to be heard and insight to be considered by the group.
The workshops help teams achieve consensus; explore organisational mission, vision, purpose and creative direction; action plan; and reflect back on projects.
I design workshops that fit clients’ requirements, structuring them to ensure workshop aims are met and encouraging constructive contributions and understanding.
Having been trained by the Institute of Cultural Affairs in Group Facilitation Methods, I frequently use and build on their Focused Conversation Method and Consensus Workshop Method in workshops that I facilitate.
I’m currently facilitating workshops online through clients’ choice of video software such as Zoom, making the most of a range of interactive features to enable participation.
Evaluation and Research
I undertake front-end, formative and summative evaluation that provide insights and add value to organisations and projects.
For example, this can help you to understand your audiences and potential audiences; provide an unbiased assessment of your project; or identify lessons learned for the future.
Work can include a range of activities appropriate to the client’s needs, such as undertaking qualitative and quantitative research, running consultations, creating evaluation frameworks, data analysis, and producing reports and presentations on findings.
I’m passionate about generating insights that make a difference, lead to lightbulb moments and can embed or develop more effective ways of working.
Campaigns
I develop and deliver marketing and communications which will make an impact, deliver measurable results, and create value.
Campaigns can relate to broadening audiences, driving visits, building and nurturing relationships, increasing engagement, raising awareness, changing perceptions or re-defining and cementing positioning.
They will include appropriate methods such as media relations, social media, event management, email marketing, SEO and stakeholder relations.
Campaigns are based on a clear set of agreed objectives and include ongoing measurement and end-of-project evaluation.
Speaking
I give presentations and talks about marketing, audience development and freelancing in person and online to a range of audiences.
