New research project on digital audiences

I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in to a new project on digital audiences. I’ll be working with a cohort of small and medium-sized museums across the East of England on behalf of SHARE Museums East.

The aim is for the museums to better understand who their digital audiences are (and aren’t), their needs, any differences with their in-person visitors and the implications of this on their digital audience development and marketing.

I’ll be creating an online survey for participating museums to use and share with their digital audiences, and then analyse, benchmark and compare this data with their in-person visitors, providing individual reports for each museum as well as an overall project report on the findings for dissemination in the sector in spring 2022.
