Online marketing training for community groups

Next month I’ll be delivering two marketing workshops as part of Enfield Council’s Stories of Enfield project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The project aims to engage a wider range of people in sharing and participating in heritage activities locally, by funding 10-15 exciting and creative projects relating to Enfield’s very diverse heritage, developed and run by community groups.

The project also involves a training and capacity building programme to support around 40 local individuals and organisations in developing and delivering projects now and in the future. I’ll be running marketing workshops as part of this strand, to boost skills and confidence in marketing and help the groups reach and engage target audiences, including new audiences.

I think the project is a great model for supporting grassroots heritage projects run by local communities, and preparing groups that are on the ground to apply for funding and deliver meaningful heritage projects.
