Mentoring for Mercury Theatre project

I’ve been allocated two mentees on a one-year project providing business support to 100 creative small to medium enterprises, freelancers and self-employed artists from Essex, East Sussex, Suffolk and Kent. The project is managed by Mercury Theatre, Colchester, and funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Participants all work in the creative industries and are allied to the performing arts, and have the potential to expand but are restricted by the lack of suitable workspaces and suitable business support in the region.

I’ll be undertaking 24 hours of mentoring with each participant over the course of the year and supporting them to creative a business growth plan. I’m looking forward to playing a role in developing the practice and business of two creatives in the region.
