Norwich loses a great heritage advocate

Some sad news yesterday - the charity where I spent five years as comms manager is closing its doors after 10 successful years championing Norwich's heritage and heritage as a means of regeneration.

It was an innovative model and a small outfit that punched far above its weight in terms of its clout and funding it brought in for Norwich, thanks to a team of passionate and hard-working people and support from many partner organisations and great volunteers.

During my time there I was privileged to contribute to some far-reaching projects like Norwich 12, the Norwich Dragon Festival, Heritage Open Days and the Culture Matters conference, worked with some brilliant colleagues, partners and friends and learnt an enormous amount.

It's great to see that HEART's flagship projects will be continued to be run by some of the charity's long-standing partners and some new ones, and I hope that HEART's legacy will live on for a long time.
